While my boyfriend was getting his hair trimmed, his barber asked his opinion on the apron he had been wearing before going into detail about how he was unhappy with it and how he would make it differently. My boyfriend told him that I could make a custom apron for him, sent me his info, and I was soon put to work making an ultimate barber's apron.
Most of what was done was his idea - the blue denim fabric, solid hardware throughout, and red, white, and blue barber stripes on the back. He was awesome enough to let me be creative with the rest, which resulted in the addition of stripes inside of the pockets, antique brass hardware, and lots of traditional gold top-stitching throughout.
The top center pocket is large enough to hold a cellphone, and the bottom pockets were given flaps to help keep falling hair from landing inside. The back features sliders to adjust the straps, and the lower end of the straps can be hooked onto grommets on the side of the apron depending on the wearer's height.
